I'm thrilled to say that I've finished the December album and uploaded it to Shutterfly. I'm not going to send it for printing right away. Even though I've proofread it a few times now, I have no doubt that at least one mistake lingers. The only question is whether I'll find it now, or when the book comes back from printing.
I ended up using the supplies I planned (see details here). The pages are all quite simple, but I'm ok with that. I've decided I'm not a big embellisher. When I try to embellish, it just never looks right. Yet the simple pages I've done, I love. Inevitably I'll try to embellish and cluster again in the future, but will likely return to a simple look.
Even though I journalled a bit every day, I'm surprised at how many things were left unsaid. I could have gone into so much more detail on so many things, or had multiple pages some days. I had to remind myself that the goal of my album was to capture the highlights and spirit of the month, not record every single detail or include every great photo.
Unfortunately, I won't publish the link for the book. There are some kids who make an appearance whose parents may not appreciate the kids' photos being thrown onto the internet thanks to me.
However, I will show you some of my favourite pages. If you see any typos, please let me know!!
It's nice to have the album done so that I can now focus on revamping my website, providing a new freebie, working on the course materials for my new class on digital scrapbooking at Metro, and maybe scrapbooking some other pages as well. Where do the days go?
