Our family's medical emergency last night ending well. We continue to all be healthy.
Kerry. I know I can walk away from him saying I don't know when I'll be back, but to look after the kids, get them home safe and to bed please, and he will do so. And, for letting me sleep in after I crawled into bed at 4 a.m. after a long night.
The security guard at the emergency room who said that the parking patrol wouldn't be on again until 7am so I needn't worry about parking until then.
Our health care system. In my limited experience with our system, we have never had a problem and always received the care we needed. No discussion of insurance, or whether can we afford it. We go and are taken care of.
The nurses in ER who put up with some of the more disgusting things in life, and yet can walk into a room in the middle of night all cheery as though they are thrilled to be there and would rather be no place else.
24-hour Tim Horton's.
My sheltered life. I wasn't in the ER watching someone I love being put on life support after a rave gone bad, wearing a halo after a trampoline accident, recovering from a stabbing in the wrong part of town, talking to the police because of an accident, or any of the other mishaps that befall people every night that take them to ER.
A beautiful day today so I could be outside with my family enjoying our life and our health.
